A start to what looks like a sunny week. The pumpkins will love it.
This week we will launch our School Council. For this term we will be looking for 2 representatives from each class. (Year 1- Year 6.) We will include children from FS2 in the summer when they have fully settled into school. If your child would like to put themselves forward for the School Council please encourage them to think about the following 2 questions:
- Why would you make a good member of the School Council?
- How would you make our school a better place to learn?
Head Boy and Girl.
The staff are currently thinking about which Year 6 children should be selected as this terms Head Boy and Girl. Whoever is chosen must be a good role model to others, earn all of their Golden Time and try their best with their work. I wonder who it will be?

Autumn Term Key Dates
21st September- Curriculum Launch (Best of Britain) via TEAMS.
Year 6 Head Boy and Girl- staff nominations by Friday 18th ready for the great reveal on Monday 21st.
School Council- Class nominations and speeches taking place before September 22nd.
28TH Museum week- Mrs Mason to share the museum with classes virtually.
Book Fair- 6th– 8th October- we will ask parents to pre-order online with children as well as do a display here.
25th – Macmillan Staff Coffee morning. Parents virtual coffee morning quiz- donate 1.00.
19th– 23rd October Harvest Festival week- TEAMS assemblies and some form of collection of tinned goods which we will quarantine and donate (hopefully to local care home)
2nd- 6th November- Remembrance making poppy display for outside.

- After school clubs will not resume until at least January 2021.
- A decision about resuming Breakfast Club will be taken at October 1/2 term.
Start dates reminder
These are staggered to allow us to safely and calmly bring all children back in. I do understand that the different timings are a challenge for some parents. Please be assured that we have tried to minimise disruption to working parents as much as possible whilst following government safety guidelines. If you are experiencing difficulties I would urge you to speak to your employer as this is a situation where we all have to work together.
I have been asked if siblings can cross the site together. I am aware that larger schools with more entrance points are doing this however this is not a possibility for us.
EYFS transition dates
Transition mornings- home at 12pm
14th and 15th final 8 pupils to start
Wednesday-Friday- home at 1pm
21st Full day
Start and finish information.
FS2- start between 8.40- 8.50 and finish at 2.40 pm. Parents are allowed on site to wait with their children near to the FS building.
Y1- start between 8.40-8.50 and finish at 2.45 pm.
Y2- start between 8.45 – 8.55 am and finish at 2.50 pm.
Jaguars- start between 8.35- 8.45 and finish at 3 pm. Parents are allowed on site to wait on the lower KS2 playgrounds.
Cougars- start between 8.25- 8.35 am and finish at 3.10 pm.
Pumas- start between 8.20- 8.30 am and finish at 3.15 pm.
