Spring 2 News Week 6 March 26th

Good morning everyone,

Today is the last day of the term and I am sure the children are looking forward to spending time at home and outside. This will seem a strange comment given the amount of time children have been away from school but they have worked very hard since returning and now deserve a change and time to recharge their batteries ready for the summer term. The children have completed assessments in reading, writing and maths and the results of these have given their teachers a good view of what has been learned and what still needs to be taught or gone over. We will send you a very brief report today giving you an overview of how your child is settling and we will arrange parent meetings with you (virtually) at the end of April.

Please can I ask that you when the shops reopen you take the opportunity to make sure your child has the correct uniform (including PE uniform) I have noticed that a number of children are wearing different coloured trainers  which are not part of our policy. Below is a reminder of our uniform policy. Red Castle jumpers for our new children will be available on the first day back.

If you are struggling with school uniform we do have spares in school. These can be loaned to the children (please note these are washed and stored for the appropriate time after use.) During the current Covid 19 pandemic  the windows will be open so if the weather is cooler then please consider sending your child with an extra layer of clothing.

Curriculum Leaflets

This will appear on your class pages- Term 3. Next term’s theme is called Wonderful World.
