Summer 1 News Week 2 21st April

Good morning everyone,

Yesterday Year 6 resumed running the daily mile and Year 3 enjoyed PE outside. I saw a number of children who came to the office to share their work. They were awarded 10 Team Points and will feature on our assembly today. Just to remind Lynx class parents that the children have earned a non uniform day on Friday.

Lynx class got to grips with tortoise handling.

I earned 10 Team Points for using all my spelling words in a sentence.

Gryffindor 342

Ravenclaw 337

Slytherin 437

Minions 424

Attendance

Well done to Lynx class you have earned a non uniform day on Friday with 100% attendance last week.

Well done to Pumas class for all being on time every day last week.

Did you know even a few minutes late each day can add up to many minutes lost learning time?

Please let us know if your child is unwell so that we do not have to phone you for a reason- thank you.

Information about Captain Tom 100

We’re really excited to be taking part in the Captain Tom 100 challenge from Friday 30 April to Bank Holiday Monday 3 May 2021 to celebrate Captain Sir Tom Moore’s amazing achievements and raise vital funds for Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals.

You could get involved.
All you need to do is dream up your Captain Tom 100 – an activity of your choice based around the numbers 100 – and do it anytime and anywhere from Friday 30 April through to Bank Holiday Monday 3 May.

I wonder who will be Pupil Expert?

Don’t forget our Reading Challenge

Please encourage your child to read at home. Remember reading at least 4 x per week- 1 sticker on our reading challenge chart. Reading more than this = 2 stickers. When children earn enough stickers they can choose a reward from our School Council shop,

I hope you have a good day.
