At Castle Academy, we believe that strong partnerships between school and home are key to helping children thrive. We know that when families and school work closely together, children feel more confident, engaged, and supported in their learning.
We aim to build strong, positive relationships with all parents and carers from the very beginning. Whether your child is just starting school or joining us later on, we want you to feel welcome and involved in every step of their journey.
Communication is at the heart of what we do. We keep families informed through newsletters, our school website, the MCAS app, and parent consultation meetings. We also encourage parents to speak with staff whenever they have questions or concerns. Our doors are always open.
There are lots of ways for parents to get involved in school life at Castle Academy. We invite families to attend events such as class assemblies, performances, workshops and celebration assemblies. Our open events and curriculum sessions are a great way to see what your child is learning and how you can support them at home.
Parents are also welcome to support us in other ways – from volunteering on trips and reading with children to joining in with community events and fundraising activities. Every bit of support makes a big difference.
We are proud of the strong sense of community that exists at Castle Academy. By working together, we can make sure that every child feels happy, safe and inspired to do their best.
If you’d like to be more involved or have ideas about how we can strengthen our home-school links even further, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact the school office or speak to a member of staff. We are always happy to help.
Together, we can make a real difference in your child’s education.

Supporting My Child’s Learning at Home
At Castle Academy, we believe learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. Our Home Learning Links page provides families with easy access to the online platforms, resources, and activities that support your child’s learning at home. Whether you’re practising phonics, exploring maths challenges, or researching a topic together, these tools help keep learning fun, purposeful, and connected to our Castle Curriculum.
Attendance
At Castle Academy, we value every minute of the school day because every moment counts towards your child’s success. Excellent attendance and punctuality ensure children make the most of their learning, build strong learning habits for the future, and feel fully part of our school community from the very start of each day. Together, we can make every day — and every minute — matter.
Uniform Expectations
At Castle Academy, we believe that wearing school uniform is about more than just appearance — it’s about creating a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for every child.
When children wear their uniform with pride, it helps them feel part of our school community. It promotes equality, reduces distraction, and supports a sense of purpose and readiness to learn. Our aim is to make our uniform simple, affordable, and appropriate for all children and we appreciate the role families play in supporting this.
